In a field near a village in Oxfordshire (Cropredy) I once mentioned to someone that Porgy and Bess was on in a theatre near Penge, to which they replied "How bizarre". This led to the notion of writing a song on that premise, this then led onto the thought of an 'organic' song with verses based on that comment allowing song to grow and change over the years, but keeping the original verse as the root of the song.
